Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Shunter Driver in Sherburn in Elmet. This is a full-time role with 3 on 3 off nights and a competitive hourly rate. You must hold a Class 1 (C+E) licence with in-date CPC and Tacho, and have at least 6 months of Class 1 driving experience.

The job includes yard movements, coupling/uncoupling, and reporting any vehicle defects. Staffline provides 24/7 on-site support, modern facilities, and clear career progression.

Job description

Staffline is recruiting HGV Shunter Driver in Sherburn in Elmet.

The rates of pay including holiday pay is £15.68-£23.52 per hour.

This is full time role working 3 on 3 off nights available.

Must hold a class 1 driving licence, in date CPC and tacho with 6 months class 1 driving experience.

Your Time at Work

• Move and position vehicles safely within the yard and/or depot.
• Couple and uncouple.
• Communicate with drivers and other staff members to ensure movements are carried out safely.
• Check for and report any damages on the vehicles.

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with driver's hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
