Job summary

Serco in Basingstoke is looking for an HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver/Loader to join our Environmental Services team. You’ll collect waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties on a pre‑planned route and act as the public face of Serco in the community.

You’ll complete vehicle safety checks, keep trucks clean and ready, and work 40 hours per week Mon-Fri 6.00am - 2.30pm with occasional Saturdays and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence / Driver CPC & Tacho Card.
• Hard working and physically fit due to nature of duties.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities

• Drive and assist on pre‑planned routes collecting waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco’s Environmental Services in the community.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and ensure truck is clean and work-ready.
