Job summary

The Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a HGV Refuse Collection Driver/Loader to join a motivated team. You will carry out refuse and recycling collections on pre-planned routes with set start times, ensuring service levels are met and communities stay clean.

You’ll use in-cab tech, perform daily vehicle checks, maintain paperwork in real time, and help loaders when needed. The role offers steady hours 7am–3:30pm, overtime options, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 points.
• Driver CPC certification.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to undertake tasks.
• Clean driving licence and readiness to assist loaders when required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily on pre-planned routes.
• Operate safely, using proper lifting techniques.
• Utilise in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
• Complete paperwork in real time and report issues.
• Inspect vehicles daily and maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain positive customer relations with the public.
