Northumberland County Council is seeking a HGV Driver for Refuse Vehicle to join the Neighbourhood Services team. The role involves driving large refuse/recycling vehicles, maintaining the vehicle, loading refuse, and supervising a small team to deliver high-quality waste collection services.

Applicants should hold an HGV Class 2 licence, have in-cab technology experience, and demonstrate strong customer service and physical fitness.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Physical fitness and strength to manoeuvre bins and operate hydraulic equipment.

Responsabilités

• Drive our refuse/recycling collection vehicles, including new fleet.
• Maintain the vehicle and allocated tools/equipment.
• Load refuse and supervise a small team of Refuse Collection staff.
• Ensure efficient collection services and uphold health and safety standards.
