Overview

Location: East Grinstead RH19 1TZ (working out of our Haywards Heath depot to begin with)

Full Time: 39 hours per week

Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am – 4pm; Friday 7am – 3pm

Interview date: Tuesday 30th September (an alternate date can be arranged if this isn’t suitable)

Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. Your efforts will help maintain high standards across the community while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting off on your round.
• In our team, you’ll work alongside our loaders too – staying active and helping to get things done quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Be physically fit and healthy (this is a must, due to the nature of the work)
• Be a dedicated, friendly and professional team player
• Are willing to go the extra mile on your rounds to help your team hit its targets
