Job summary

SRC Group is seeking a Mixer Driver in the United Kingdom (England). The role requires a valid Class 2 HGV licence and a Driver Tachograph Card, with prior mixer driving experience preferred. You will ensure timely, safe deliveries while maintaining vehicle integrity and complying with safety directives.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, flexible, and capable of liaising with colleagues across departments and external customers. Training and safety policies are emphasized in this role.

Responsibilities

• Drive the vehicle in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain the vehicle’s condition and prevent damage.
• Complete routine maintenance on the vehicle.
• Maintain cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Comply with fuel directives and tachograph rules.
• Report accidents per company procedures.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Job description

• Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.


• Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits.


• Maintain condition of the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage both externally and inside the drum.


• Complete any maintenance on vehicle.


• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.


• Comply with fuel directives from the Transport Department.


• Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedure.


• PPE to worn around Plant and Site


• To comply with the company's Health, Safety and Environmental policy, highlighting any issues appropriately.


• To act in accordance with the company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices.


• Performs other duties as directed.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a concrete environment.


• Flexible with working hours.


• Strong communication skills and willingness to take instruction.


• Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts.


• Able to do vehicle maintenance.


• Must have Class 2 HGV Licence and Driver Tachograph Card.


• Experience as a Mixer Driver.
