Job summary

Major Recruitment is recruiting for a class 2 HGV driver to operate a fleet of concrete mixers and deliver to regional clients from Bridgwater. The role offers long-term opportunities with an induction and permanent position after 12 weeks.

Typical shifts are AM starts from Monday to Friday, 50–55 hours per week, with 3–6 deliveries per shift and paid breaks. Suitable candidates will hold an HGV Class 2 license and the required tachograph qualifications.

Qualifications

• Valid C Licence (HGV Class 2)
• DQC Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 points for minor offences (no IN, DD, DR endorsements)
• Excellent communication skills

Job description

Major Recruitment are looking for Class 2 drivers (HGV 2) to work for our well established international client based at Bridgwater.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay with consistent full-time work, and genuine long-term opportunity, offering a Permanent role after 12 weeks.

Driving their Fleet of Class 2 Concrete Mixers, you will be delivering to their regional clients.

The Role:

• AM starts - Mon-Fri
• 50-55 hours per week
• 3-6 Deliveries per shift
• Minimum 9.5 hours per shift guaranteed
• OT after 9.5 hours per shift
• Paid Breaks

To be considered for this role you must have:

• A valid C Licence (HGV Class 2)
• DQC Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Excellent communication skills
• No more than 6 points for minor offences (no IN, DD, DR endorsements)

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience on concrete / mixers / construction would be advantageous.
• A Valid MPQC Card would be desirable or willingness to obtain.
