Job Role: HGV Mechanic
Location: Widnes
Pay: £52,500
Hours: 6pm-6am
Shift: Monday to Thursday Nights
Contract: Full time permanent role

HGV Mechanic opportunity

My client, a well-established transport company with depots across the UK, is actively seeking to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Mechanic to be based out of a depot in the Widnes area to work on a full-time permanent basis. You will maintain and repair an internal fleet of over 1,000 assets, including DAF and Volvo vehicles.

HGV Mechanic Duties

1. Service, maintain, and repair tractor units and trailers in line with DVSA guidelines and company procedures.
2. Complete all relevant maintenance and compliance documentation to the highest standards.
3. Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections, ensuring a high pass rate.
4. Diagnose and rectify defects efficiently to minimize downtime.

HGV Mechanic Experience Required

1. Previous experience as an HGV Technician is essential; will look at time served or qualified.
2. Strong knowledge of vehicle roadworthiness legislation and MOT requirements.
3. Looking to work a permanent Monday to Thursday nightshift.
