Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Technician

Salary: per hour (paid weekly), plus bonus

Shifts: Tuesday to Friday Night Shift (6pm to 6am)

Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, your main duties will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing faults on commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring repairs meet high standards of reliability and safety.
• Conducting vehicle testing post-repair to confirm roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
• Performing preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and repair costs.
• Managing documentation related to warranty, contracts, and retail work accurately.
• Supporting ad hoc duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor, including attending manufacturer training or assisting colleagues.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• City & Guilds certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience in diagnosing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and diagnostic tools.
• Participation in manufacturer training courses is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required; HGV licence beneficial but not essential.
• Team player with a methodical approach, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
