Qualifications

• Applicant must have HGV mechanic experience.
• Experience in vehicle electrical systems and fault finding.
• Competence in repairing and maintaining refuse vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems of refuse vehicles.
• Perform 6 weekly inspections and ensure higher standards are met.
• Support workshop technicians in diagnostics and maintaining fleet.

We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and competent HGV technician to join our team.

Hourly rate: £17.00-£21.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

Overtime: We encourage overtime for those who wish to work it. Paid at time and a half.

Hours: Full-time and part-time available with flexible working hours to be discussed at interview stage.

Working from our new flagship transport workshop near Gloucester (GL2 7ND).

Responsibilities for the job role:

• Carry out diagnostics, fault finding and repair of vehicle electrical systems on refuse vehicles and ancillary equipment.
• Focus on preventative maintenance on refuse vehicles.
• Support Workshop Technicians in fault finding and diagnostics upskilling.
• Carry out 6 weekly inspections to a high standard, ensuring all defects are identified and repaired, with a strong focus on ‘first time fix’.
• Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all vehicles exceed the standard required.
• Repair ‘damage’ defects to a high standard with a focus on upholding our brand image
