Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic.
• Experience with Scania and DAF vehicles is advantageous.
• Confident in diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs independently.

HGV Mechanic (Nights)

Location: Keynsham

Salary: 44,100 - 49,608.80 per year

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join a well-established transport operation at their Keynsham depot. This is a night shift position offering flexible shift patterns and start times to suit the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs with minimal supervision.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT in line with DVSA standards.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure work is completed to the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Shift Options:

• Shift patterns: Sunday to Thursday OR Monday to Friday
• Start times: Between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM
• Shift length: 8 or 9-hour shifts depending on preference

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic.
• Confident in diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs independently.
• Experience with Scania and DAF vehicles is advantageous but not essential.
• Relevant HGV qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
