Job summary

Farmfoods is seeking a full-time HGV Mechanic to join the team at their Cumbernauld depot. In this role, you will maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all are in excellent working order. Required qualifications include a Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent, along with experience in diagnostics and fault tracing. Base pay range

HGV Mechanic, Full time 40 hours per week.

Based in our vehicle maintence unit (VMU) at our depot in Blairlinn, Cumbernauld.

Within this role you will recieve £20.70 per hour.

The Shift Pattern Includes:

Monday to Friday: 11:30am - 8:00pm

Saturday to Sunday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Please note that within this role you will be required to work one out of four weekends.

The role will involve:

• Maintaining their fleet of vehciles and trailers which consists of Mercedes, Renault and Scania tractor units along with a variety of multi-temperature trailers, curtain sliders and box trailers.
• Carrying out inspections, repairs and testing.
• Diagnosing faults.
  
  

You will need the following qualifications and experience to be considered:

• Level 3 City & Guilds Maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles (or equivalent)
• Diagnostic equipment and fault tracing resulting in first time repair
• MOT preparation
  
  

In addition if you have experience in any of the following please let them know in your application:

• LOLER experience and tail lift repair (desirable)

• CE licence (desirable)
