Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting an experienced HGV Mechanic to join an established vehicle repair and maintenance business based in Kirkcaldy on a full-time permanent basis, paying £40,000+ per annum.

Our client operates a busy workshop maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles, offering consistent Monday to Friday hours with overtime available. The role includes maintenance, inspections, records, and safety compliance within a busy, tidy workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a mechanic or vehicle technician role.
• Good attention to detail with basic computer skills.
• Punctual, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance and repair work across a modern fleet of vehicles.
• Completing inspections, identifying faults and raising them with the Workshop Manager.
• Completing all relevant paperwork and maintaining accurate records of work carried out.
• Following company policies and procedures, particularly around health and safety.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop environment.

As an HGV Mechanic, your duties will include:

• Carrying out maintenance and repair work across a modern fleet of vehicles
• Completing inspections, identifying faults and raising them with the Workshop Manager
• Completing all relevant paperwork and maintaining accurate records of work carried out
• Following company policies and procedures, particularly around health and safety
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop environment

To be considered as an HGV Mechanic, you will need:
