Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking an experienced Drainage Operative to join our nationwide team. You will operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clear blockages in drains and sewers, driving a company vehicle and working within a two‑unit team across our extensive depot network.

Full training is provided. The role follows a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with a 47.5 hour work week and enhanced overtime rates on weekdays and weekends, reflecting a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 driving licence required.
• Desirable: prior drainage or water jetting experience.

Department

Drainage/Depot Network consists of a strategically located depot network across the UK, spanning from Aberdeen to Plymouth. Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year.

This extensive footprint allows Lanes to combine local responsiveness with national capability, ensuring consistent service standards while maintaining close relationships with regional customers and infrastructure partners.

Purpose of the role

You will be working closely in a team of 2 operating high specification jetting and vacuumation units. You will also operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
