Job summary

Northumberland County Council in Morpeth is recruiting for a permanent full-time HGV driver to support highway schemes. You will drive various HGV vehicles as part of the Highways team, contributing to safe and efficient delivery of works.

You will also assist with civil ground works, including paving, drainage and tarmac repairs, and must understand relevant driving regulations to ensure compliant operations. The role requires unsupervised work across sites and a valid HGV licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV licence and be able to drive confidently.
• Ability to work unsupervised between sites with good time management.
• Knowledge of the legislation and regulations relating to driving.
