Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver / Yard Person in Swindon for a well-established commercial vehicle dealership with multiple depots across the UK. The role offers Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, and a salary of £30,000 per annum.

Key duties include yard vehicle movements, MOT presentation, trailer collection/delivery, vehicle cleaning and yard housekeeping, plus other depot tasks. Requires HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and the candidate may hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent,

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence is essential.
• Reliable, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Organising and controlling vehicle movements within the yard.
• Presenting vehicles for MOT.
• Collection and delivery of trailers.
• Cleaning and preparing vehicles; maintaining general workshop and yard housekeeping.
• Assisting with other ad hoc yard and depot duties.

• Previous experience working as an HGV Driver/ Yard Person

• Must have own tools
• Reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
