Job summary

RSD Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting an experienced HGV Driver for a fixed, Monday–Friday role in Avonmouth. The position offers a 40-hour week, a stable, permanent contract and a balanced work-life environment with varied vehicle movements including collections, deliveries and yard support.

You will operate HGVs safely, perform vehicle checks and present vehicles for MOTs, all while delivering a professional service to customers and colleagues in a professional commercial vehicle environment.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV vehicles to collect and deliver commercial vehicles.
• Transport customer vehicles between locations.
• Present vehicles for MOTs and assist with movements.
• Carry out pre- and post-trip checks and report defects.
• Complete vehicle condition checks and report issues.
• Carry out road tests after workshop repairs where required.
• Ensure vehicles are parked safely and in designated areas.
• Support workshop and yard operations when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Deliver a professional service to customers and colleagues.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Driver to join a professional commercial vehicle operation based in Avonmouth.

This is a nice, straightforward and slower-paced role compared to traditional HGV driving positions, offering a good work-life balance with a Monday to Friday schedule and a varied mix of vehicle movements, collections, deliveries and yard support.

Key Responsibilities
