Job summary

Holt Recruitment is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver / Yard Person in Gloucester. The role involves managing vehicle movements in the yard, presenting vehicles for MOT, and coordinating trailer collections and deliveries.

You will clean and prepare vehicles, maintain yard housekeeping, and assist with additional depot duties as required. A valid Class 1 licence and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent are preferred, with own tools advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV driver and yard person.
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications preferred.
• Must have access to own tools.

Responsibilities

• Organise and control vehicle movements within the yard.
• Present vehicles for MOT and routine checks.
• Co-ordinate collection and delivery of trailers.
• Clean and prepare vehicles for display and sale.
• Maintain general workshop and yard housekeeping standards.
• Assist with other ad hoc yard and depot duties.

Job description

Location: Gloucester. Salary: £30000 per annum. Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver / Yard Person to join a well-established commercial vehicle dealership with multiple depots across the UK.

HGV Class 1 Driver / Yard Person Requirements

• Previous experience working as an HGV Driver/ Yard Person
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence - essential
• Ideally hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Must have own tools
• Reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
