Job summary

Drivers Direct in Swindon is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to join the team. The role involves driving HGV Class 1 vehicles, delivering pallets and cages, and trunking deliveries to businesses and other depots.

2 years experience preferred; Day/Night shifts and weekends available; on-site parking and company pension. Must hold HGV 1 (CAT CE), CPC, and Digital Tachograph cards. DR/IN/DD offences prohibited, min 6 months experience, and good driving record.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE license.
• Must hold a valid Driver CPC card.
• Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum of 6 months experience.
• Good communication skills.
• No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
• No DR/IN/DD offences due to insurance stipulations.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per procedures.
• Ensure all deliveries/collections are carried out per company procedures.
• Deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• Complete all work related paperwork and hand in at the end of the shift.

DDR are looking to recruit a HGV Class 1 Driver on behalf of our client to join their team in Swindon

2 years experience preferred

Hours of work:

• Day/Night Shifts
• Weekends available
• All different start times available

Salary:

• Day:- £18.00 per hour.
• Nights:- £18.50 per hour
• Weekends:- £18.50 per hour

The Role:

• Driving a HGV Class 1 Vehicles
• Delivering on pallets and cages
• Delivering to businesses, and other depots (Trunking)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

• Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE license.
• Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
• Must hold a valid Digital taco card.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience
• Good communication skills.
• Good customer relations.
• Have a safe driving record.
• No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
• No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
