The post-holder will be based at Makerfield Way Depot and will be required to work flexibly in line with demands of Waste Services.
About you:
At Waste Services, our aim is simple: to provide a quality, customer focused services across the borough. We are looking to recruit 2 Class 2 HGV Drivers to our successful waste services team. You must hold a Class 2 HGV driving licence and valid CPC Driver Qualification Card, work effectively as part of team and have a flexible and “can do” attitude to work.

This role is essential in ensuring we deliver a quality cost effective recycling / waste collection service to the residents of the borough, you will promote our waste collection policy and encourage residents to recycle more / recycle right, the current recycling rate is around 52% but the Council has commitment to achieve a target of over 60% by 2035.
