Job summary

MoveMatic TSL is hiring a HGV Driver Class 1 - Tramper for a permanent position. We offer a clean, modern fleet and guaranteed steady work with home time each week when tramping. The role requires a valid C+E license, Driver CPC, and a background check.

Fluency in English and right to work in the UK are essential. Benefits include a competitive annual salary (£44,801-£46,280), performance bonus up to £1,000, a company pension after probation, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Class 1 license with limited penalty points and no DD/DR/IN endorsements.
• Driver CPC card with no current suspension or revocation.
• UK Digital Tachograph Card.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Fluent English in speech and writing.
• Willing to undergo a background check and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety standards.

• Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.

Location: Merrington Lane Industrial Estate, Spennymoor DL16 7XL

Clean work with no loading / unloading expected.

Ideally 6 months recent HGV experience required although not necessary

You would have to

• Maintain all health and safety standards
• Flexibility required regarding start times
• Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
• Complete trailer checks for every pickup and drop off
• Ensure you arrive at your job on time, informing the office of any issues delays etc .
• Use company app for route navigation and for drop off and collections
• Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code
• Must have a professional attitude, be reliable, customer focused, safe and a team player
• Comply with all tachograph and WTD regulations
• Look after and keep your truck clean

Shift Patterns

• Sunday start, finish by Thursday evening, or Friday morning depending on Sunday start time. You'll do a max of 60 hours on a weekly basis

Your knowledge and experience

• Valid C+E Class 1 license with no more than six penalty points as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements
• Driver CPC card with no current suspension or revocation
• UK Digital Tachograph Card
• Right to work in the UK
• Fluent English language skills both verbal and written
• Willing to undergo a Background Check and Drug and Alcohol test
• 6 months to 1 year driving experience preferred
