Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland in Amesbury is seeking an HGV Driver Trainer to develop LGV drivers across the business. You will deliver practical and classroom training, promote safety, and help improve performance using KPIs and telematics.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£16.63–£28.50) with a £40 weekly allowance, Monday–Friday 7am–4:30pm, 47.5 hours per week, and a supportive safety-focused team with opportunities to advance qualifications.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on driver training experience.
• Ability to deliver both practical and classroom training.
• Excellent knowledge of EU and RTWTD regulations.
• Experience using digital tachographs and compliance systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging driver training and development.
• Support DCPC training and new driver inductions.
• Promote safe and fuel efficient driving.
• Carry out driver assessments and post incident training.
• Help improve driver performance using KPIs and telematics.
• Work closely with Transport and Compliance teams to ensure best practice.

HGV Driver Trainer - Join Our Team

Location: Amesbury (Depot), Solar Way, Solstice Park, Amesbury, Wiltshire, SP4 7SZ

Salary: 16.63ph - £28.50ph plus £40 weekly allowance

Shift Pattern - 5 days out 7, 47.5 hours Monday - Friday (7am - 4.30pm)

Are you passionate about developing drivers, improving road safety, and making a real impact every day? We're looking for a dedicated HGV Driver Trainer to support and develop our LGV drivers across the business.

What we're looking for:

• Strong communicator with hands on driver training experience
• Confident delivering both practical and classroom based training
• Excellent knowledge of EU and RTWTD regulations
• Experience using digital tachographs and compliance systems
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an LGV C+E driver

Essential:

• LGV C+E licence
• Driver CPC
• Experience delivering driver training

Desirable:

• NRI (RTITB) DCPC qualification
• IOSH or First Aid
• Experience with telematics (Connexus/Tachomaster)
