Job summary

Müller Group in Amesbury, Wiltshire is seeking a dedicated HGV Driver Trainer to support and develop our LGV drivers across the business. You will deliver engaging practical and classroom training, carry out driver assessments and help improve performance using KPIs and telematics.

A successful candidate will hold an LGV C+E licence and Driver CPC, with at least 3 years’ driving and training experience. The role offers 47.5 hours weekly, a daytime pattern, and a £40 weekly allowance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on driver training experience with strong communication skills.
• Experience delivering both practical and classroom training.
• Solid knowledge of EU and RTWTD regulations.
• Experience using digital tachographs and compliance systems.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an LGV C+E driver.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging driver training and development.
• Support DCPC training and new driver inductions.
• Promote safe and fuel-efficient driving.
• Carry out driver assessments and post-incident training.
• Help improve driver performance using KPIs and telematics.
• Work closely with Transport and Compliance teams to ensure best practice.

HGV Driver Trainer – Join Our Team

Location: Amesbury (Depot), Solar Way, Solstice Park, Amesbury, Wiltshire, SP4 7SZ

Salary: 16.63ph - £28.50ph plus £40 weekly allowance

Shift Pattern – 5 days out 7, 47.5 hours Monday - Friday (7am - 4.30pm)

What we’re looking for:

• Strong communicator with hands‑on driver training experience
• Confident delivering both practical and classroom‑based training
• Excellent knowledge of EU and RTWTD regulations
• Experience using digital tachographs and compliance systems
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an LGV C+E driver

Essential:

• LGV C+E licence
• Driver CPC
• Experience delivering driver training

Desirable:

• NRI (RTITB) DCPC qualification
• IOSH or First Aid
• Experience with telematics (Connexus/Tachomaster)
