Job summary

DPD UK in Exeter is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join a tech-driven, people-first team. You’ll drive a modern fleet, move bulk collections between sites and major customers, and help keep the country moving.

We offer a competitive pay package (£16.35 per hour plus night-rate premium and enhanced overtime), a Friday-Sunday shift pattern, holiday trading, and wellbeing support as part of our career growth. DPD promotes from within with CPC renewal funding and 24/7 wellbeing resources.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 Licence (Category CE)
• CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• At least 6 months experience with Class 1 vehicles
• Geographical knowledge of UK roads
• Safety-first approach to driving and deliveries

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries focusing on HGV routes
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and ensure compliance
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions
