Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our team, driving a modern fleet and keeping the country moving. You will be a key part of our national transport operation, handling nationwide collections and deliveries and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The pay is £16.35 per hour, with a £2.72 night-rate premium from 18:00 to 06:00, plus enhanced overtime. Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, starting around 13:30 and finishing around 01:00.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 Licence (CE), CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and stay compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
• Carry out thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safety.
