Job summary

DPD Exeter is looking for a reliable HGV Driver to join our team, driving a modern fleet and supporting the country’s movement.

You’ll play a key role in the national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers, while staying compliant with GPS and tachograph requirements. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service as core values.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Safety-first mindset with ability to work under pressure.
• Resourceful problem-solver who delivers great service.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and ensure 100% compliance.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
