Job summary

DPD UK is looking for a reliable HGV Driver to join our team, driving a modern fleet and keeping the country moving with tech-driven logistics.

You’ll execute nationwide collections and deliveries, manage trailer swaps, and work in a 40-hour per week, permanent role with Monday to Friday shifts. We offer competitive pay plus benefits including life assurance and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence with CPC card.
• Digital Tachograph card holder.
• At least 6 months experience with Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road network.
• Safety-minded and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries for DPD sites and customers.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS/digital tachographs to plan and monitor routes and stay compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving.

You’ll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission: Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Logistics: Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Tech & Compliance: Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.
• The Face of DPD: Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country. Professional, resourceful, and reliable.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License: Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience: At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset: Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
