Job summary

DPD UK in Newbury is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our national transport team. You will drive a modern fleet, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers, contributing to a smooth nationwide network.

The role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with day and night rate premiums; you will hold a UK Class 1 licence, CPC card, and digital tachograph. Join a company that values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.
• Resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and hit deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.

• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
