Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our team, operating a modern fleet and supporting the country’s logistics network. You will cover national collections and deliveries with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency.

You’ll use GPS and tachographs to manage routes, coordinate with dispatchers and customers, and ensure vehicle safety through regular inspections. Join a people-first culture with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months' experience with Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.
• Resourceful problem-solver able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries for HGV operations.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and stay compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission:Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Logistics:Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Tech & Compliance:Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.

• Safety First:Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License:Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience:At least 6 monthsexperience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset:Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
• The Vibe:You’re a resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and hit deadlines whilst delivering great service
