Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our team, operating a modern fleet and supporting nationwide collections and deliveries. You’ll work a 18:45–04:45 shift, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £16.35 per hour plus a £2.72 night rate premium and enhanced overtime where applicable.

You will drive in a safety-first manner, utilise GPS and tachographs, and maintain professional relationships with dispatchers and customers while ensuring high-quality service across the country.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.
• You’re a resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and hit deadlines delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

You’ll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

What You Bring
