Job summary

DPD UK Ipswich is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our team and operate a modern fleet across the country. You will move bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires a UK Class 1 licence, CPC card and tachograph experience, and you’ll work a 14:00–03:15 shift pattern, Monday to Friday, in a permanent 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.
• Resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and remain compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving.
