Job summary

DPD UK in London is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join a national transport team, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers. You’ll operate a modern fleet, using GPS and tachographs, while prioritising safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence with CPC and Tachograph Card, plus at least 6 months of Class 1 experience and strong UK road knowledge. The position offers a permanent, 24-hour-per-week pattern with weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
