Job summary

SUEZ in South Gloucestershire is hiring a qualified HGV driver to operate waste collection vehicles, collect household waste and recycling from residents, and deliver a high standard of service while following Health and Safety rules.

The role requires an LGV Category C licence, a valid CPC card and tachograph card, and strong communication skills; experience in waste industry and with Stillage Vehicles or Kerbside Loaders is desirable but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Waste industry experience is desirable but not essential.
• Training will be provided for Stillage Vehicles / Kerbside Loaders.

Job description

What will I be doing?

The role will involve the driving and operation of vehicles collecting household waste and recycling from the residents of South Gloucestershire, delivering a high standard of service and ensuring compliance with our customer’s Health and Safety rules as well as our own at all times.

What are the requirements?

• Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service.
• An LGV Category C licence as well as a valid CPC card and tachograph card are essential.
• Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable, however is not essential.
• Experience of working with Stillage Vehicles – Kerbside Loaders and RCV is desirable but not essential as training will be given where necessary.
