Job summary
DPD UK is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join a modern fleet and help keep the country moving. You will move bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers as part of our national transport team.
Your shift pattern runs Thursday to Saturday with a pay rate of £16.35 per hour plus a £2.72 night premium (18:00–06:00) and potential overtime enhancements. You’ll use GPS and digital tachographs, stay safety‑conscious, and deliver excellent service nationwide.
Qualifications
- Valid UK Class 1 (CE) licence, CPC card, and Digital Tachograph card.
- Experience with Class 1 vehicles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK roads and safe driving practices.
- Flexible and reliable with shift patterns.
Responsibilities
- Execute nationwide collections and deliveries.
- Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading.
- Use GPS and tachographs to manage routes and remain compliant.
- Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritize safety.
