Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland in Cardiff is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to perform timely collections and deliveries to customer sites while meeting safety and regulatory standards.

You will operate commercial vehicles, load and unload safely, and communicate with customers, ensuring compliance with working time directives. A full-time role with development opportunities and a strong benefits package awaits.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C driving license with no more than 6 points.
• CPC Certification.
• Tachograph card.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises.
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience (desirable).
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable).
• FORS compliant (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys, plus loading/unloading and securing loads.
• Visiting customer locations and communicating with internal and external customers.
• Adhering to legal and company safety requirements and working time regulations at all times.

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented HGV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
