Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a capable HGV Driver to join our team in the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for timely collection and delivery to customer sites, ensuring safety and compliance with road and company standards.

The role requires a Category C driving licence with up to 6 points, a CPC certificate, and Tachograph card. Desirable experience includes FORS compliance and strong geographical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum driving licence category C with no more than 6 points.
• CPC certification is required.
• Tachograph card is required.
• Proactive safety mindset for company vehicles and drivers.
• Polite when visiting customer premises.
• Geographical knowledge and industry experience desirable.
• Ability to use IT systems desirable.
• FORS compliance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of goods.
• Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness; load/unload and secure cargo.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with customers and staff.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and working time regulations.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented HGV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
