Job summary

Marshalls is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver for our Bedford plant to deliver mortar to building sites across the local area. You will operate 4-axle 32t rigid POD and Mixer trucks with automatic gearboxes, maintaining a high standard of customer service and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with no restrictions and CPC card.
• Experience operating Mixer or Pod trucks is advantageous but full training provided.

• Operate Pod and Mixer trucks and maintain/clean vehicles daily.

Base salary: £38,767 per annum

Regional Allowance: £3,764 per annum

Meal allowance: £1035 per annum

Annual earnings: £43,566 + overtime

Due to continuous growth, we're recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join the team at our Bedford plant. The vehicles you will be driving are all 4-axle 32t rigid trucks, which are POD, Auger Tipper and Mixer trucks, the fleet all have automatic gearboxes.

So what's the mission?

You will be the first point of face to face contact for our customers, delivering mortar to building sites in the local area and will have a positive 'can do' attitude with excellent customer service skills. You will operate both multi-compartment Pod and Mixer vehicles, which you must maintain and clean daily. After all, you are the face of Marshalls Mortars & Screeds!

You will put the customer at the heart of everything you do and we expect you to stay calm and professional when challenges arise! You'll always work to a high level of health and safety and ensure that you are compliant with specific customer requirements. You'll need to be punctual and an early riser to ensure on-time deliveries!

You will need to be flexible in working hours during the day and be able to work alternative Saturdays due to continuous growth and industry requirement (Overtime is paid on Saturdays)

What are the mission-critical skills?

• Current Class 2 HGV licence with no restrictions and a maximum of 3 points on the drivers' licence
• Current Drivers CPC card
• Experience of operating Mixer or Pod trucks is advantageous although full training is provided
• Excellent English communication and writing skills
