Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers to support peak Christmas deliveries. This ongoing agency role offers various shifts, with pre-planned routes and no handballing, focusing on trunking between depots.

Typical shifts include mornings, afternoons and weekends, with 10–12 hour days; DBS check provided; Driver CPC and Tachograph Card required. Weekly pay and consistent work with one of the UK's most trusted brands.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driving licence.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
• DBS check completed as part of the registration (no cost to you).

Christmas is coming, and we’re looking for reliable, professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to support Royal Mail during their busiest period of the year.

With ongoing work available after Christmas, this is a great opportunity for experienced drivers looking for regular work.

The Role

• Trunking deliveries between Royal Mail depots
• No handballing – just straightforward, pre-planned routes
• Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts available

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport mail between Royal Mail distribution centres
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards
• Follow scheduled routes accurately and efficiently
• Represent Royal Mail professionally while delivering a reliable service

PAYE Rates:

• £21.44–£24.57 p/h (shift dependent)
• Weekly pay every Friday

Shifts available:

We offer a wide range of shift options - whether you're looking for occasional days, part-time hours, weekend work, or a full-time schedule, we can tailor shifts to suit your availability. We have start times across all hours however afternoons, nights and weekends are particularly busy. Most drivers average 10-12 hours per shift. shifts are allocated every Thursday for the following week, including start and planned finish time, helping you maintain a healthy work life balance.
