Job description

We are looking for 6 Class 1 HGV drivers to start immediately for our client based in Preston and 5 Class 1 drivers for our client based in Leyland.

As a HGV Driver you must:

• Have a C+E driving license
• Have a CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have less than 8 points on your license
• Be keen to look after your vehicle

HGV Driver responsibilities include:

• Trunking from depot to depot, some pick-ups and collections, and the delivery of goods to commercial warehouses
• Daily walk-round and vehicle checks, reporting existing damage and defects
• Correct use of Tachograph and drivers' hours

The successful HGV Drivers can expect:

• Monday–Friday: £16.25 PAYE per hour
• Weekend enhancements available
• Weekly pay, paid on time every time
• 8-hour minimum guaranteed pay per day
• Subsidised ongoing CPC training
