Job summary

Veolia UK is seeking a driver for our Newbridge depot. You will transport vehicles and materials safely, operate heavy goods vehicles, and support our local communities with essential environmental services.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break and occasional weekend overtime. £36,941 per year plus Veolia benefits; 25 days leave and pension are among the advantages.

Qualifications

• C+E Licence and experience.
• An up to date Driver CPC.
• Experience of driving and operating vacuum tankers would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting vehicles and plant between various locations.
• Operating and maintaining heavy goods vehicles.
• Managing products and materials, loading and unloading.
• Operating vehicles in line with all training, procedures and legal requirements to protect the safety of yourself, your team and the public.
• Checking your vehicle for condition and roadworthiness, completing the appropriate forms and reporting any issues immediately.
• Mentoring new drivers when required.
