The Role Will Involve

1. Confirm delivery instructions, plan routes accordingly, and meet delivery schedules.
2. Undertake checks at the point of delivery to ensure the customer’s order is correct and complete, and handle delivery paperwork, noting any errors or returns.
3. Obtain customer signature or branch signature for internal branch transfers.
4. Report any road/bridge restrictions or other delivery problems.
5. Follow procedures for securing the premises, vehicle, stock, and cash.
6. Support the branch with picking, packing, stock checks, loading, and housekeeping duties as required.
7. Drive the vehicle safely and professionally at all times in accordance with the Law.
8. Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety daily and throughout the day.
9. Be aware of the vehicle inspection rota for servicing and MOT.
10. Supervise the loading of the vehicle to ensure products are safely loaded within weight limits and secured, in line with deliveries.
11. Report accidents and incidents as soon as possible following the incident in line with company procedures.
12. Display the Operator’s Licence Disc, FORS Accreditation, and Vulnerable Road User stickers on the vehicle.
13. Operate a Moffett Mounty forklift for loading/off-loading.

About You

1. Valid HGV Driving Qualification – C, Moffett License, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver CPC Card.
2. Professional driving experience.
3. Health and safety aware.
