Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 & 2 drivers based in Colchester. You will play a vital role in safe and efficient transportation, completing deliveries and collections while maintaining professionalism and compliance.

Shifts include night and day options, with weekend work possible. This is a stable, well-paid role in a safety-focused environment with opportunities for growth and industry training.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or 2 licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• ADR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure road worthiness and safety.
• Complete deliveries and collections according to operational requirements.
• Report to schedule and communicate issues promptly.
• Follow all company procedures, customer requirements, and road traffic regulations.
• Adhere to EU Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety and keep vehicles clean and well maintained.
• Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and records.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. You will be responsible for completing deliveries and collections while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure road worthiness and safety
• Report on time for scheduled shifts and communicate any issues promptly
• Complete deliveries and collections according to operational requirements
• Follow all company procedures, customer requirements, and road traffic regulations
• Adhere to EU Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
• Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and well maintained
• Ensure accurate completion of relevant paperwork and records
