Job summary

E.ON Gruppe is hiring an Installation Operative - HGV Crane and HGV to join our team in Rochdale. You will perform a range of duties including excavation for LV service jointing, erection and removal of columns, signs and bollards, and support with driving, deliveries and general yard tasks.

You’ll work with skilled operatives, follow safety policies, and ensure PPE is worn at all times. The role requires driving qualifications and risk awareness, with flexibility for unsociable hours.

Qualifications

• NRSWA LA01-05 & 08 qualification is required.
• UK HGV Class II driving licence up to date.
• NVQ Level 2 Highways Electrical Work.
• CPCS Lorry Loader or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity with safe working ability.
• Willingness to work unsociable hours when required.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Remove or decommission assets as required.
• Install and decommission street lighting equipment and EV connections.
• Drive company vehicles including HGV.
• Operate lorry mounted crane.
• Excavate for joint holes, columns, signs and bollard installations.
• Use tools, equipment and vehicles safely on site.
• Mentor younger and less experienced colleagues on site.
• Adhere to HSE policies and risk assessments.
