Qualifications

• Previous HGV, trailer or commercial vehicle maintenance experience.
• Strong servicing and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, servicing and repairing HGVs, LGVs and trailers.
• Supporting or completing safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Repairing braking, suspension, steering, driveline and electrical systems.
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT and DVSA annual testing.
• Identifying and reporting additional defects.
• Replacing worn or damaged components.
• Completing post-repair quality checks.
• Recording work accurately on job cards and maintenance systems.
• Ensuring vehicles remain safe, roadworthy and legally compliant.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment.
