Job summary

Driver Hire Oxford in Bicester is seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV driver to join the transport team for safe, on-time delivery of pre-pack kitchen furniture to customer sites. Expect up to four nights out with a £25 night allowance. Immediate start with 42.5 hours per week.

The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, CPC and tachograph card, plus strong communication and flexibility with hours and routes. Shifts begin at 07:30 and include multi-drop routing.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility with working hours and routes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 (7.5-32 tonne) vehicle to deliver pre-pack kitchen furniture to trade customers, retailers, and delivery points.
• Plan and follow efficient, multi-drop delivery routes with 3–4 drops per day.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Load and unload boxed kitchen units using manual handling techniques and equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, tail lifts).

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 2 driver to join our transport team, responsible for the safe and timely delivery of pre-pack kitchen furniture to customer sites. Up to 4 nights out, with a night allowance of £25. No weekend shifts

• Safely operate a Class 2 (7.5-32 tonne) vehicle to deliver pre-pack kitchen furniture to trade customers, retailers, and delivery points.
• 07:30 starts - 42.5hrs per week - £16.50 for the first 12 weeks then rises. -
• only 3 to 4 drops per day - Plan and follow efficient, multi-drop delivery routes
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues
• Load and unload boxed kitchen units and furniture safely, using manual handling techniques and appropriate equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, tail lifts)
