QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver for a local delivery operation within the Palletline network, with a view to upskilling to Cat C Steel Tramper Driver in a few months. Full training will be provided to ensure you are fully competent.

Ideal candidates hold a HGV Class 2 licence for at least 1 year with 180 days of commercial driving experience, plus a full UK CPC and a valid digital tachograph card.

Job Description

HGV Class 2 Driver required to join our client’s local delivery operation as part of the Palletline network, with a view to upskilling to a Cat C Steel Tramper Driver within a few months.

All training will be given to ensure you are fully competent.

Ideally 2 years driving experience required, however, newly qualified drivers can also apply.

Whilst on the Palletline work, the weekly total time on duty is typically between 40 to 50 hours however, once you have qualified on to Steel Tramper Driver, this will vary as you will be doing nights out paid at a premium to you. (this includes all breaks and other work etc.) Previous experience would be an advantage, but a full training package will be provided for the right candidate. Immediate starts are available, an in-date CPC qualification, Digi Card and a Cat C licence is essential.

Duration: This is a full time role with genuine temp to perm opportunities

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: Pay for this role is £15.00 per hour with overtime paid after 48 hours

Working Hours: Working hours are Monday to Friday with start times being around 0800 each day
