Job summary

We can SolviT Recruitment LTD is recruiting an HGV Class 2 RORO/Skip Driver for a Leicester-based food recycling company. The role is temp-to-perm with training and potential upskilling to HGV Class 1.

You will start on a 4 on 4 off pattern, with 12-hour shifts starting around 06:00. Training rate is £15.00 per hour, rising to £17.89 per hour after training, with weekly pay and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence and 1 year experience minimum.
• Experience with skip and RO/RO operations.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 RORO/Skip vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow traffic laws and company procedures.
• Complete all necessary paperwork.

Solvit Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established food recycling company based inLeicesterfor a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Roro/Skip Driver to join their team on atemp-to-perm basis, you will be collecting food waste which will turned into energy, there is plenty of training and for the right applicant when full-time you may be upskilled to HGV Class 1.

Before any commitment, you will have a face-to-face Interview, which will give you the opportunity for a site tour, meet the team and most importantly ask open questions to make sure the role is for you.

You will be working with a Fantastic company who are growing at a steady rate, who look after their staff and you are not treated as a number.

The ideal driver will be a team player, looking for a full-time job and take pride in their job as you will be representing the company.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will hold a HGV Class 2 licence and have experience-operating RORO (roll-on/roll-off), and skip vehicles.

You will start Monday to Friday training for a couple of weeks.

Then you will have your shift pattern off 4 on 4 off.

Start times from 06:00, 12-hour shifts.

Pay Rates:

• £15.00 during training.
• After training, you be paid £17.89 per hour.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence minimum 1 year experience.
• Experience with skip and RO/RO operations.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

• Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication oral and written.
• Complete all paperwork.
• CPC and Tacho.
• No DR, DD, TT or IN10.
