Job summary

Simple Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy waste management operation in Rochford. Role offers ongoing, full-time work with regular weekday hours and optional overtime on Saturdays.

Eligibility includes a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and tachograph cards, and prior skip driving experience. You will deliver/collect skips, ensure safety checks, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience driving HGV Class 2 in a waste/logistics setting.
• Valid CPC Card and tachograph knowledge.
• Good knowledge of UK driver hours and road safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, collect and transport skips to sites.
• Safely transport and dispose of waste per procedures and regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Provide a professional and courteous service.
• Follow road transport hours and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, roadworthy vehicle.

HGV Class 2 Skip Driver

Location: Rochford, SS4

Pay Rate: £19 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 5:00pm

Optional Saturday Overtime: 6:30am - 1:00pm

About the Role

Simple Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy waste management operation based in Rochford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver with previous skip vehicle experience looking for ongoing, full-time work with regular weekday hours and optional Saturday overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver, collect, and transport skips to and from commercial and residential customer sites.
• Safely transport and dispose of waste in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Complete all delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Follow all road transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle at all times.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous skip driving experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of UK driver hours and road safety regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

What We Offer

• £18.50 per hour.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
