Job summary

Smart Solutions is recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to support operations in Quarrington (NG34). The role is full-time, based in-person in Quarrington, with 4am–5am starts and 10-hour shifts.

You will drive skip loaders, collect skips from domestic and commercial sites, and maintain safety and compliance throughout daily operations. Candidates must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and Tachograph cards.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• CPC card and Digital Tachograph card (essential).
• Previous experience in skip or RoRo operations (preferred).
• Background in waste/recycling (advantageous).
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and strong communication/teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate skip loaders and RoRo vehicles.
• Deliver and collect skips from domestic and commercial sites.
• Ensure safe loading, unloading, and secure transportation.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
• Follow all road safety and compliance regulations.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service.
