Job summary

Smart Solutions is hiring an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver for our Kniveton, Ashbourne area. You will safely operate a skip vehicle, transport waste, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding high safety standards.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday with 7:00am starts and a 40-hour week. A valid UK HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and tachograph card are required. PPE and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence valid in the UK.
• Driver CPC qualification valid.
• Digital tachograph card held.
• Previous HGV driving experience; waste management experience desirable.
• Good knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit for manual handling.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 skip vehicle for waste collection and delivery.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Load, transport and deliver waste materials in line with company procedures.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Ensure customer sites are left clean and tidy.
• Comply with Health & Safety, Driver Hours and road traffic regulations.
• Wear PPE and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.

HGV Class 2 Skip Driver

Location: Kniveton, Ashbourne, DE6 1JF
Pay Rate: £17.69 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (7:00am start)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our client's team based in Kniveton, Ashbourne.

This is a full-time role where you will safely and efficiently operate a skip vehicle, transporting waste materials to and from customer sites while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 skip vehicle for waste collection and delivery
